HIV Law Project provides free civil legal services to HIV-positive residents in Manhattan and the Bronx through an integrated, general practice service delivery model. Experienced and seasoned legal staff provide clients with a range of legal services, including intake and assessment, advice and consultation, brief service and advocacy, out-of-court settlement negotiations, document preparation, and full representation in court or at administrative hearings.

  • discrimination and HIV-related confidentiality issues
  • last wills and testaments and advanced planning
  • debtor/creditor law

We serve approximately 1,000 clients each year, and have handled over 20,000 individual legal cases.
