Michael S. Pankow
Director of Development
Michael S. Pankow joined HIV Law Project in July 2007. Previously, he was the Manager of Development and Outreach at Human Rights Watch, the largest human rights organization based in the United States. In this capacity, Mr. Pankow served as the Manager, Major Gifts (U.S.) and the Manager, New York Committee, part of the Human Rights Watch Council, an international membership group that seeks to increase awareness of human rights issues. Mr. Pankow was also the Administrative Director for Corporate Health Services and Coordinator of Special Events at New York Downtown Hospital. Working closely with the Wall Street business community, Mr. Pankow focused on major donor cultivation and the planning and coordination of fundraising and outreach events. Mr. Pankow has also worked in volunteer and consulting capacities for Amnesty International, the Conference of Nongovernmental Organizations, and Safe Horizon.
