HIV Law Project’s community legal education program is designed to bring basic legal information to HIV service providers and clients of community-based organizations throughout Manhattan and the Bronx.  Conducted by experienced staff, these forums cover a range of important legal issues for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, including social security benefits, public assistance and Medicaid, landlord-tenant law, foster care issues, permanency planning, HIV confidentiality and partner notification, and discrimination issues.

“At HIV Law Project, we take the time with each client to unpack the complexity of barriers and pressures in their lives. In this way, we are able to ...help lift them out of the vicious cycle of poverty and ill-health.”
